This International Women’s Day, we wanted to take a moment to speak not just about celebration, but about strength.
Across Lebanon, women are doing something extraordinary every single day:
they continue to show up — for their families, their friends, their work, and their communities — even when times feel uncertain.
They carry responsibilities, emotions, and worries quietly, while still finding ways to create warmth, comfort, and normal moments for the people around them.
And that deserves recognition.
The Strength We Don’t Always See
Strength doesn’t always look loud or heroic.
Sometimes it looks like:
- Checking on a loved one
- Preparing a meal when energy feels low
- Going to work despite everything on your mind
- Taking care of everyone else before yourself
Women often become the emotional anchors of their homes and circles.
But being strong for everyone else can also be heavy.
That’s why this year, we want to gently remind every woman of something important:
You deserve care too.
Mental Health Matters More Than Ever
During difficult periods, it’s easy to focus on survival and responsibilities while forgetting to pause and check in with yourself.
But mental well-being isn’t a luxury — it’s essential.
Sometimes self-care can be simple:
- Taking a few quiet minutes for yourself
- Calling a friend who makes you laugh
- Cooking something comforting
- Watching a show that helps you disconnect
- Enjoying a small treat that brightens your day
These small moments can create pockets of calm in days that feel overwhelming.
You Don’t Have to Carry Everything Alone
One of the most powerful things women do is support each other.
A message.
A coffee together.
A small act of kindness.
These gestures remind us that even during challenging times, community is still here.
If today is heavy, remember it’s okay to slow down, breathe, and give yourself the same kindness you give everyone else.
Today, we simply want to say:
You are appreciated.
You are resilient.
And you deserve moments of peace and care.
Happy Women’s Day to all the incredible women of Lebanon. 💙
